Career Plan FAQs (53)

A “Personally Sponsored Qualified” Independent Designer is an Independent Designer who is “Personally Sponsored” and has generated a minimum of 75 PV in any given month.

A “Sponsor” is the Independent Designer who introduces a new Independent Designer to the Company and/or product and whom the new Independent Designer enrolled with.

An Independent Designer with the Career Title of Senior Team Leader or below is considered an Inactive Independent Designer when they generate less than 75 PV each month, for three (3) consecutive months.

An Independent Designer with the Career Title of Executive Team Leader or above is considered an Inactive Independent Designer when they generate less than 75 PV in one (1) calendar month.

As an Inactive Independent Designer, a Designer will lose their Downline Team permanently, rank down to Designer and is no longer able to sponsor any new Independent Designers until becoming Active again (by generating at least 75 PV prior to Sponsoring a new Independent Designer) but will maintain access to their Designer Back Office, Personal Web Page (PWP) and any applicable subscriptions.

*Inactive Designer accounts who have activity levels below 150 cumulative PV for a rolling six (6) months will be converted to Customers to align with their activity levels. PV generated after the last calendar day of the sixth month at 11:59 p.m. Central Time (CT) and before the account is converted will not prevent the conversion. Any orders placed during this time will roll-up to and be paid out to the Designer’s Mentor.

Inactive Designers maintain access to their Back Office, Personal Web Page (PWP), any applicable subscriptions and can purchase Jewelry at a 20%-40% discount. Additionally, Inactive Designers will still earn a 20%-40% commission on any orders submitted on their PWP.

A “Direct Team Leader” is an Independent Designer in the Level one (1) of another Independent Designer who achieved the Paid-As title of Team Leader or above for the first time.

The following conditions apply to roll-ups counting as Direct Team Leaders under their new Mentor:

  1. A roll-up who has never achieved the rank of Team leader may count as a Direct Team Leader for their new Mentor for purposes of the Career Plan when the advancement to Team Leader or above occurs while the roll-up is in the Level 1 downline of the Independent Designer/Mentor.
  2. A roll-up who has achieved the rank of Team Leader or above may count as a Direct Team Leader for their new Mentor for purposes of the Career Plan when the roll-up promotes and achieves a rank higher than their previous highest rank achieved.

Roll-ups may count as Direct Team Leader for purposes of the Career Plan, if the advancement to Team Leader or above occurs while the new Team Leader is mentored by the Designer whom they rolled up to. If the Designer rolls up to the Mentor as a Team Leader or above, they will count as a Direct Team Leader upon advancing to the next Career Title under the mentorship of the new Mentor.

“Team Volume” (TV) is the cumulative PV (Personal Volume) for an Independent Designer and their Team down through level four (4) in any given month.

A “Sponsor Bonus” is paid to any qualifying Independent Designer on volume generated by Independent Designers they have personally sponsored into the Origami Owl Family of Brands, regardless of who is assigned to be the Mentor for the Independent Designer.

An “Annie” is an Independent Designer who enrolls without a Sponsor (also referenced as an “Orphan”) or Mentor.

If an Independent Designer becomes an Inactive Independent Designer, they will forfeit their Downline and all members of the Downline will roll up to the next Active Mentor.

“Downline” is another term used to describe an Independent Designer’s Organization (all other Independent Designers under an Independent Designer’s genealogy – also referenced as “Organization”).

Independent Designers who have met qualification requirements in the Career Plan will be eligible for monthly bonuses earned on the Team Volume (TV) of their Organization, with such Bonuses including: Sponsor Bonuses; Mentor Bonuses; Generation Bonuses; and Advancement Bonuses.

This term refers to all Direct Team Leaders and any other Independent Designer with a Paid-As Title of Team Leader or above in Levels one (1) through four (4) of an Independent Designer’s Team.

A Mentor Bonus is paid to qualifying Independent Designers based on volume generated by Levels one (1) through four (4) of their Team.

When an Independent Designer in the Downline of another Independent Designer achieves a Paid-As title of Director or above per the Career Plan, a new Generation is created. The new Generation then includes the new Director and her or his Team down to the next Paid-As Director in the lineage or to the last level of Independent Designers.

Advancement Bonuses are paid with the monthly commission payout, following the advancement. Click here to view the Advancement Bonus FAQs.

A “Direct” Independent Designer is any Independent Designer who is in the Level one (1) of another Independent Designer, including any Independent Designer who is personally sponsored, inherited or otherwise placed in the Level one (1) Team.

An Independent Designer can be sponsored by your Upline but assigned to you by that Upline and you would then be that new Independent Designer’s Mentor.  Additionally, you could have an Annie assigned to you if you meet the required qualifications.
