Jewelry Bar Rule FAQs (20)

As of March 1, 2018, a Jewelry Bar must be closed within 60 days of the chosen start date, unless a sooner close date is selected. Designers may extend a Jewelry Bar one (1) time for up to 30 days after the original close date.

If the Jewelry Bar isn’t closed manually on the scheduled close date, the system will automatically close it at 11:59 p.m. Central Time (CT) on the scheduled close date.

No.  Orders cannot be entered and web orders cannot be attached to a Jewelry Bar prior to the official start date.

In the Jewelry Bar home, select “Edit Jewelry Bar” then click “Extend Close Date” and Save and Continue.

No. Once you enter Hostess Rewards and apply payment to complete the order (if applicable), you will be prompted to close the Jewelry Bar at the bottom of the “Payments” page.

Any orders with Payment Due or Saved payments will be cancelled and not credited to the Jewelry Bar total. Free Product credit (calculated from the Jewelry Bar total after unpaid orders are cancelled) for qualified Jewelry Bars will be credited to the Hostess retail account. Half-off items, the Hostess Exclusive discount and free shipping are forfeited.

Hostesses can access their Hostess retail account by using the Hostess email address (used when creating the Jewelry Bar) and resetting the password, if a password does not already exist.

*If partial Free Product credit is redeemed, the remaining credit will not be credited to the Hostess retail account.

Hostesses with a qualified Jewelry Bar will be awarded Hostess Credit equal to the Free Product earned. Hostesses can access their Hostess retail account by using the Hostess email address (used when creating the Jewelry Bar) and resetting the password, if a password does not already exist. Unclaimed Half-Off items, Hostess Exclusive discount and free shipping will be forfeited.

Free Product credit for qualified Jewelry Bars will be applied to the Hostess retail account in the form of Hostess Credit. Hostesses can access their Hostess retail account by using the Hostess email address (used when creating the Jewelry Bar) and resetting the password, if a password does not already exist.

Hostess Credits awarded from qualified, force closed Jewelry Bars do not expire.

The Kit Discount Code for qualified Jewelry Bars will be emailed to the Designer and can be used with the Hostess email address (email address assigned to the Hostess upon closure of the Jewelry Bar).

Yes! Notifications will be sent to the Designer one (1) week and 48 hours prior to the close date.  In case email communications are missed, Designers can view Jewelry Bar Close Dates on the “Open Jewelry Bars” tab of the Jewelry Bar Dashboard in the Back Office.

Jewelry Bar close dates are noted on your Jewelry Bar Dashboard for a quick reference and just in case email communications are missed.

In addition to being notified via email, on the Jewelry Bar Dashboard under “Closed Jewelry Bars” in the Back Office, the following symbol ($) will indicate Hostess Credit being awarded.

No. Orders using Hostess Credit work the same as a Hostess Rewards order in the Jewelry Bar. Any additional items added are considered an “overage” and do not qualify for PV or commission.
